Nightwing hits Bludhaven, HARD.5
We all know Robin, right? Without a doubt the most famous sidekick in the history of comic books. This is the tale of the most well known Robin out there, Dick Grayson.
Robin no more, Dick, aka Nightwing, moves from his mentors dark shadow and establishes a turf of his own. Bludhaven, Gotham's ugly little brother, so to speak.

The best thing about this story, imo at least, is that it doesn't fall into the trap of becoming one big hero vs. villain mega battle. The kind you'd expect to see in say, Spiderman or Superman. This focuses on where anything related to Batman really shines, petty and underworld crime.
A brilliant detective story, it explores the curropt police system of Bludhaven and the shake up's of the underworld perfectly. But, not only that. We also get a taste of the old kind of Super villain vs. super hero action in the form of lady Vic.

While this is obviously no ground breaking piece of work, like say Dark Knight Returns, it's still well worth the read. I highly recomend this book. If you're looking for a well paced, action packed and yet inteligent plot, with good character interaction and a hero a shade lighter then Bats (although, make no mistake. Nightwing is no Spiderman), then this book is definatly a must!

Well-done adventure4
A very good read. Nightwing on his own, out from under the shadow of the Bat, up against a tough gang war. Well paced, interesting plot, nice character development. Loved the interaction (however brief) with Tim Drake, Nightwing's second replacement as Robin. Well worth a look. Finally giving this character a much-deserved life of his own.

Who needs the Bat?5
I've always been a huge fan of this character, yet I never liked him as Robin. I started to like the character from his appearance in The New Teen Titants, and later The Titans.

He is the character who ties the DC Universe together, he has met each of the main characters several times of, Led a team of JLA and now a member and ex leader of The Outsiders.

But it's his solo adventures that are far more interesting and this is the perfect jump on point because as a long time reader take it from me.... It gets a lot better..
