Average customer review:Product Description
Designed to make Magick accessible to the novice, this guide introduces the many aspects of magic and the occult, and explains in detail several experiments that the reader can try, including producing money and becoming invisible. The book is divided into two sections on Low and High Magick. In the first section, the reader can explore the Ouija board, astral and etheric bodies, the chakras, the aura, Qabalah, wood nymphs and leprechauns, mantra chanting, water and ghost divining, and the Tree of Life. The reader is then introduced to the more potent High Magick. The author explains how to prepare the mind correctly before conducting ritual magic, and how to conduct rituals.

Just one more reprint presented as a new release.
After buying "Magick for Beginners" I was very disappointed, because I realised that his "latest book" was only a slightly enlarged reprint of his book "Experimental Magic" which was originally published in Great Britain in the 1970s. It would have been a much more serious to present the book as that what it is and not as a new title.
Good book, but not for beginners!
I found this book quite interesting and gave me a lot of back ground information. However as a book for those new to magick I would say that it is bad and does not do what it sets out to do. I don?t think that it is a particularly bad book, but I would certainly not recommend it to those new to magick! I was, and still am reading Modern Magick by Donal Michael Kraig. This I consider to be the ?bible? of high magick (for me at least anyway) It teaches you everything step by step in a lesson format and goes into great depth. Unfortunately I was comparing ?Magick for beginners? with ?Modern Magick? and in this respect it failed miserably. Magick for Beginners, seems to gloss over many subjects without really going into great detail. The work also lacked any kind of cohesiveness, flitting from subject to subject. It covers a lot of the background and science of magick, i.e that magick is really in the mind etc. and deals quite heavily with the psychological side of magick and also deals with physics. Again there is nothing wrong with this, I found the information interesting and quite useful, filling in some holes in my personal understanding of magick. However, the way he seems to just gloss over rituals and give exercises without much discussion gives me a sense of uneasiness. If it wasn?t for the fact that I have already got Modern Magick I would have been put off from continuing practising magick by reading this book. I would suggest that if you are new to magick and are looking for a good book to teach you step by step you try Modern Magick by Donald Michael Kraig. Then get this book as an addition to it.
Really good
I have read part of this book and find it absolutely amazing. I desperately advise this book to any beggining magician or wizard in the occult. It has been clearly written.
