Why no other reviews of this excellent book?
Wiccan Warrior is a breath of fresh air in a wiccan world of either fluff and froth or thou shalt nots. As practitioners of a spiritual path/religion/whatever you want to call Wicca, we need to be very aware of the danger of becoming rigid and of forming inflexible doctrines. Wiccan Warrior is an excellent antidote to this pitfall. It speaks of empowerment for the individual rather than slavish obeisance to some higher authority within the Craft. The book covers many of the key areas of modern witchcraft, including initiation, and helps the reader to retain a sense of balance and integrity whilst following her/his intuition and sense of autonomy. It gives clear guidance on how to follow a creative and sincere Craft practice whilst remaining true to oneself and ones fellow practitioners. Wiccan Warrior is inspiring and thought provoking without being militant or overly political. Long term witches should read it to remind themselves not to become too dictatorial or set in their ways, and those new to the craft could benefit from its sane, sensitive respect for the spiritual rights of the individual.
Excellent
This book is as amazing as it is fascinating. It is a book of real wisdom and spiritual focus that can not only be seen as helpful for Wiccans but for anyone of any religion who needs to re-focus on the spiritual world around them. If the whole world obeyed the Wiccan Rede the world would be the most amazing place. This book will not make you into Harry Potter, however, so if that's what you want keep reading kids books.
