A beautiful,compelling book
This book provides some lovely chants and poems for many different spells and rituals. It is beautifully worded, although it would not be ideal for a beginner in wicca, or any other form of withcraft. I enjoyed this book and hope to put it to good use.

A Truly Beautiful Book
I have owned the First Edition copies of both Valerie Worth's books, then called The Crone's Book of Words and The Crone's Book of Wisdom, for a number of years now. When I recently saw that they had been re-issued I jumped at the chance to buy myself shiny new copies, the old editions having been somewhat uninspiringly printed and presented.

The Crone's Book of Magical Words is quite possibly one of the most beautiful and inspiring books I have ever had the privilege of owning. For me, the late Valerie Worth has, with these deceptively simple charms and spells, captured the true essence of Magical living and alignment with the Elements. Herein lies a dialogue with the Unseen and a doorway to the world of Spirit.

This is not modern Wicca, it is operative witchcraft of a variety which rarely sees the light of day in this post-Gardnerian age. For anyone interested in exploring and understanding traditional witchcraft you can do no better than to immerse yourself in the simplicity and power of these truly Magical Words.

i think this book is great i have had this book for about 4 months now and i have not been able to put it down since. i have recently tried some spells from this book and they worked. i tried one of the love spells i now have a boyfriend who tells me he loves me and has loved me for years but been afraid to tell me. believe me this book is a very good buy it has been the best book i have ever bought. so buy it while you have the chance. i am now ready to buy more books from valerie worth since i have become a little more than a beginner since reading this book.
