reborn Muslim
this book was incredible and made me a reborn Muslim. It talks about the most simplest ideas in a very organized and everyday laguage. The sayings were translated in a profound and clear manner. I would suggest this book especially for those folks who are avid readers of western books and are used to sort everyday books. Even non-Muslims can learn a great deal from this piece and see how parallel any spiritual belonging can bring out of a person.

The Five Wisdoms of Page Twenty-five
I can't do fairer than copying a few short wisdoms. Almost anecdotal, and not at all able to render that beauty of the old Arabic language we are told about.
Still, it's all about content and not form. "Revealing both his profound worldly wisdom and his lofty spiritual vision" says the introduction. It is certainly very earthy indeed.

Reneging on Gifts
The Prophet said, "One who takes back his gift is like a dog that eats up its own vomit."

Give Ungrudgingly
The Prophet said, "Give ungrudgingly, lest God be grudging toward you; and do not withhold, lest God withhold from you."

Gifts and Bribes
Umar Ibn Abdul Aziz said, "In the lifetime of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, a gift was a gift. Today, it is a bribe."

Reconciliation
The Prophet said, "One who reconciles people by attributing good or saying something good is not a liar."

The Greatest Right
The Prophet said, "The conditions that have the greatest right to be completely fulfilled are those which make the private parts of women legal to you."

What I'm hinting at: these sayings quite simply and absolutely are in need of a commentary to impart any deeper sense. On their own they contain - besides the too obvious - little meaning for the outsider and seem a waste of money. If you're the casual passer-by, I would advise you to steer well clear ....this book is not meant for you. I for one must wonder why I bought it, but that's on-line shopping for you: we buy things unseen.
