Excellent book for the scientist interested in the latest in musical research. Contains the most recent research of several of the leading members of this broad field. While not meant to be a comprehensive overview, it is nevertheless quite varied in its contents, covering topics such as neuroplasticity, anthropology, developmental research, electroencephalography, functional magnetic resonance imaging, and behavioral studies done in the name of music.
