Not too Bad
Well I was enthusiastic about the book and I did find it interesting but there is a mighty but! It could have had a lot more illustrations. I found it poorly edited and lots of mistakes some factual some grammatical and an insert with corrections is not on for such a valuable book.Yes get it and read it but accept the deficancies or else buy the James Stewart film Strategic Air command on Amazon which is just as exciting

A stunning tribute to the Strategic Air Command
This book is amazing, it is a truly complete account of everything that happened at the SAC. I must confess that I haven't read it completly yet only 4 chapters of particular interest so far but I have thumbed through the whole book. The text is just so detailed, from mission details, planes lost and missiles launched to development of bombers and bunkers. The amazing text is accompanied by some fantastic photography that makes the sometimes surreal events all very real, America had a very deadly force in its ranks.

This book contains everything you would ever want to know about the SAC. Everyone with even the slightest interest in the Cold War should read this book and learn more about this fascinating chapter of American military history.
