Very good book to get you started
I agree with the reader that in his review of another VoIP book said that he feels cheated every time he invests his time and money to buy a book on the subject. When I bought the brand new book "Plan for Voice Over IP" by Mark Miller I felt just about that. I think that the word "A brief introductio to" on the title would help me avoid that book. (Not to mention the contents in the cdrom that can easily be downloaded from the net ...). However I trusted a friend that recommended Cisco's book and I can say that I am satisfied. It still doesn't go much further than the basics but at least it covers most of them unlikely the aforementioned book. I would like to mention that there are not many references at the end of each chapter but apart from that I thoroughly enjoy reading that book currently. The title that I highly recommend to people that want to start with VoIP is "IP Telephony: Packet-Based Multimedia Communications Systems".
