Spellbinding innovation...
I first read this book when I was 11 years old (17 years ago) and I have never forgotten it. It wasn't so much reading a book, more like living within the realm of Masterton's world. The characters were alive, the Manatou was a terrifying nemesis of everything that strives to live and above all was the idea of an ancient medicine-man being born of a tumour. This is a book that will take you to the boundaries of belief and will make you question whether your natural surroundings are infact unnatural. To top it all, it will make you wonder whether everything you believed was dead, is in fact alive.

A legendary read!
I'm a huge Graham Masterton fan, and I've always wanted to read this book. I had heard it was a masterpiece, so I had to buy it!
It's presented different to the other books from Masterton, but I liked it a lot more than others, presentation wise. The story is a very tense one, it feels like the climax all the way through it! Easy to read and impossible to put down!
