Seriously Good Book
I really can't recomend this book enough.
It will help you take an honest calm look at your sexuality. It's not about technique, or anything like that. In fact it seems to deny that orgasm is the point of the sexual experience and that our common quest to experience more orgasm both in quantity and quality will never lead to satisfaction.
Instead, the book suggests, what we really want is to open up to another person. From childhood I, and many others it seems, caught on to a subconcious message that sex was naughty. Also the ideas that it's something that men desire and (in heterosexual relationships) women begrudgingly provide. It was only at the age of 22 or so that I found out that it was not the case. I had been caught up in what the author calls "the secrecy imperative". Now a little older and wiser I recognise this insight and many more in this book. I painfully had to go through these things and find them out for myself. To find a book that just lays it all out has been a revelation.
It has helped me organise my thoughts around this sexual secrecy which is eating our lives up. As a result I have been able to communicate with my partner about what I desire. To express your deepest darkest secrets and realise that people will still love you is an amazing thing. I have experienced great changes in all areas of my life.
Try it!
