Excellent concise instruction on Islam5
A small book (compared to other Islamic Law books) with a great deal of information. Shiekh Nuh's comments and additions are excellent as the bring this historical book into the modern understanding. This is a must for anyone interested in Islam and even more of a must for those muslims following the Shafi School of Jurispudence.

More than a book for Shafa'i students...5
The articles and additions to this edition of the book, make this a text that all would beneift from, Shafa'i and other, Muslim or not. They are clear and valuable to the novice or advanced student. The articles and additions make up nearly half of the finished text.

The actual text of Imam Nawawi's book is also well well translated.
