Customer Reviews
A great aid to sorting out a personal vitamin plan!
This book offers an excellent user-friendly guide to negotiating your way through the world of vitamins. It takes the confusion out of RDAs, offering real advice about people's individual vitamin and mineral requirements.
It explains your extra needs in special circumstances such as pregnancy or specific illnesses, as well as telling you when it's dangerous to take individual vitamins. It gives you daily requirements for everyone from babies to the elderly. Best of all clear tables tell you the best foods to eat to get each vitamin or mineral, so you can stop being conned into buying loads of different pills.
In general this is an excellent book which allows you to see beyond advertising gimmicks to work out an individual vitamin plan based upon your daily diet. It's like having your own nutritionalist! Useful for complete idiots and those who already have a knowledge of the subject.
