Great informative book from Cawthorne
Note - The book reviewed here is Victory: 100 Greatest military Commanders. The book had many typographical errors so I believe it was reproduced under this new title. It was also without pg 208, which is supposed to have an A-Z of the men and picture credits - Any information presented here therefore may not be correct but probably is.

The book charts the history of the 100 greatest military commanders in chronological order, from Leonidas of Sparta to Colin Powell.
It is split into 13 different historical sections. Each commander has 2 pages which has a short biography, chronology, accompanying picture and also other facts about them.
The book is good in detailing the lives of the men however it does not outline the periods of change at the time ver well in my opinion.

Overall this book is good in charting different military minds but does not go in depth into specific periods.
