In 1979, science fiction and horror were brought together in director Ridley Scott's classic film Alien. The film follows the crew of a space cargo-ship, the Nostromo, who land on a hostile planet in response to a faint SOS only to discover an abandoned ship with a ravenous alien on board. Alien inspired three movie sequels, and now Aliens: Original Sin expands further on this classic story, bringing back characters like Ripley 8, the clone of Lt. Ellen Ripley, and android Call. It also sorts out unanswered questions from the movies and raises entirely new ones. Was it just coincidence that the Nostromo happened to pass by the desolate planet? Why was the alien on the crashed ship in the first place? The answers, along with intense action, chilling horror and even deeper questions await in suspense virtuoso Michael Jan Friedman's Aliens: Original Sin.

A little dissapointing
Great! All the answers to all the questions plus a continuation of the events after resurrection.........I don't think so!Its a case of too much Humans not enough Aliens, also I won't go to deep and ruin the story for others, but one egg and one facehugger does not equal several aliens! The whole afair just did not feel right I read the the book from cover to cover and did not feel that I wanted to read it again unlike the works of the Perrys who wrote some great Aliens fiction, which I have read loads of times,I hope Aliens DNA war that is published in April 06 puts the series back on track!:-)
Utterly hopeless trash-fiction
I always keep my expectations set very low when reading pulp, sometimes I am pleasantly surprised, but most of the time I am amazed that such crap ever makes it to press. Aliens: Original Sin is one of those occasions. It honestly one of the most boring and uneventful books I have ever sat down and read.
Even at a very short 250 pages, with not many words on a page, I found it very slow and without even a single memorable moment. No good action, forgettable characters and no sense of mystery or dread. The ONLY reason I am giving it 2/5 is that is stays true to the Alien lore and doesn't make up its own history like Dark Horse's Predator: Forever Midnight, which seems like Charles Dickens in comparison to this tripe.
Do not buy this book.
aurther needs to watch the first film again
this book keeps to the alien core, but the aurther needs to do some more research first before going to print.
first of the ship landed on LV426, second of all the andriod from the first and second film was call'd bishop not ash, and last of the crew of the nostromo wasnt killed by the alien they were killed by riply with the flamethrower.
