Serenity: Better Days follows everyone's favorite space cowboys in a thrilling, action-packed adventure, where Mal and his crew take on a heist that promises a big payoff. But when one of Serenity's crew is taken captive and tortured, the gang must put their enduring differences aside and work together to save one of their own, even if it means losing the cash prize of a lifetime! Joss Whedon returns to the world of his blockbuster film Serenity, reuniting with Brett Matthews and Will Conrad, his collaborators on the bestselling 2005 series Those Left Behind.

Customer Reviews
well drawn and scripted just a little insubstantial.
Set between the firefly TV series and the serenity movie this introduces dust devils, browncoat terrorists. If you have no idea what I am talking about watch firefly. Anyway because it is set between two established stories there is a limit to what the writers can do witht the characters. As a result the story isn't that strong, but the characters are excellenty written and it is a joy to read. roll on volume 3.
Worth the money for the equivalent of an extra episode of Firefly
I do believe my own self that I'm going to be the first reviewer on Amazon to give this five stars. I am basing this on the current price of under a fiver, so the fact that it is quite short doesn't figure so much in my reviewing. The story very much feels like an unaired episode rather than anything special, and unlike Those Left Behind, it isn't there to tie any loose ends up, but that's not to say it's not worth having. As a fan of the series and the film, I enjoyed it and it took about the same time to read as to watch an episode, which was good. Fans of just the film may want to avoid it, but those who are fans of the TV series first and foremost - those who wish that Firefly ran for longer than it did - are likely to enjoy this graphic novel and surely wonder why there aren't more than two of them so far published.
Short
I enjoyed the writing and the artist has done a fine job in recreating the characters seen in the film and series, however it lacks depth and given the cost, is to say the least a tad short. I guess as part of the series of books it is needed and of course if like me you enjoy the Firefly universe then of course you will buy this book to continue the adventure.
