An excellent teaching, study and devotional resource
This really is an excellent resource.
R.A. Torrey, a Bible scholar and prolific writer, presents in simple, straight-forward language, over 50 major doctrines of the Bible through a series of truth propositions. The relevant scriptures are quoted first followed by the author's propositions, and in this way he proceeds to present the reader with many important truths about God, Jesus Christ, The Holy Spirit, Man, Angels and the Devil.
You can use this book for teaching from, as a reference or even as a devotional. It's a worthy addition to anyone's theological library.
Much needed book.
If you like to study the true elements of the Bible, then this is the book you need. It covers many of the essential elements that many of todays TV preachers caught up in the prosperity gospel message fail to teach. If you value the Five Solas this book is good too as it will interpret scripture with the aid of scripture. This book is definitely for seekers of the truth. I also recommend Mr Torrey's Power of Prayer book as a companion to this book. A very good buy.
