Top Notch, Easy Cooking from a Great Cook!
I purchased this book while in Glasgow for work (I live in the US). I picked it up because it was so beautiful. Opened it because Ursula was one of my tutors at the Vegetarian Society (UK) Cookery School in the early 90's. Bought it because the recipes looked yummy, and easy. And I have made about six of them in the past two weeks! Each one is better than the rest, all are relatively simple. I had Grandma's lentil and potato soup for dinner tonight. Buy this book. You will love it! Thanks, Ursula!
Truly Brilliant Book!
This is the kind of book that gets you into the kitchen fast, you just can't wait to try the wonderful food. I was given the book as a present in the morning, and by lunchtime had tried one recipe, by dinnertime, had tried two! In fact we ate 'Italian' three days running! One of the nicest things about this book, is that most decently stocked kitchens would pretty much have most of the ingredients to hand, so you can literally pick up the book and decide what to cook - and so far it has all been delicious!
Excellent - easy to follow with tasty results
With simple recipes, most needing only a few basic ingredients, that deliver fantastic results this book is great. I can't cook and yet I have made two pasta dishes, almond biscuits and several cakes - and they have all been edible, even tasty. What a revelation!
