Evolution4
Batman Evolution is the first story after No Mans's Land. Batman is up against the ageless international criminal Ra's Al Ghul and his attempts to fill Gotham's streets with a bizarre drug.

We have been here before and part of the reason why Evolution works is that it skips over the parts we have seen done before. This is not a action heavy title like "Legacy" or and the final fight between Al Ghul and Batman lasts about two pages. Even the characters seem weary of how often they've been in the some scenario. Evolution focuses on new characters and new situations, detective work and a brand new threat.
Nightwing, Robin and Catwoman are nowhere to be found.

The art is fine and, for your money, you also get a little post No Man's Land side story. Overall not a bad title.

Batman Evolution4
Set just after the No-Mans-Land saga, Batman is thrusted into a world of gang wars, drugs, eternal youth and 'mutants.'
The art work in this comic was similar to the animated cartoon but it still has an unique quality to it.
The use of colour in the book is very clever, only using four colours throughout the book.
Even so the book does have its weaker points, some parts of the story do lag behind a little. But overall this is a very good read.

Make with the NML conclusion already!4
Try as I might, I can't help thinking Mr. Rucka DIDN'T have many new leads to go on when first storyboarding this book, but the O.G./Deezee "war" goes on regardless...
With the continuation of a solo Batman, the storyline harks back to The Long Halloween days, "The Detective" showing he STILL has a better long-term memory than the average elephant-mastermind and more athletic skill than 20 Linford Christie's. "The Commish" STILL has his hands and Department full, and "the war" just won't stop by itself...
The aftermath of NML shows on everyone throughout this and its' sequels, perhaps the pressure IS too much to bear.
"Tune in and FIND out"...
