Get ready for a tour of LA that forgoes the hollywood sign and the studio backlots in favour of demon-infested sewers and dark back-alleys haunted by ladies of the night (vampires, that is). Yep, it's the Angel tour of LA, the one that starts after dark! In two blood-soaked tales, Angel, Cordelia and Wesley are plunged once more into the dark underbelly of LA, where they discover that the line between the hunter and the hunted is more blurred than even they imagined. A series of murders draws Angel into a feud between demons and a secret society of female vampires. Caught between good and evil, light and darkness, Angel himself is torn between the opposing sides of his nature. When it comes to the crunch, can he trust himself?

Sewer talk.
The art work for the first story, Hunting Ground is the best I've seen. Brian Horton and Paul Lee do a wonderful job creating the visuals. There's a nice little section in the middle of the book that explains how one of the illustrations was put together. It's the first time I've seen Angel really look anything like David Boreanaz. The second story is done very well to. The images alone are used to good effect to keep the story going. It was nice to have Kate Lockley as a player and to show Angel at his best with an awww moment at the end.
A very well presented and written book.
The stories are very good too. The first has Cordy using some serious girl power to beat the bad demons, with a little help from Angel. The second has Angel coming to the aid of Lockley to catch a demon who is trying to get revenge on Angel by commiting a series of brutal killings.
If you haven't read any graphic novels before, this is a good place to start.
