Good but short
There is a good mix of stories in this graphic novel. Some are absolutelyexcellent ('A Death Star Is Born' is absolutely brilliant) but it fails toget 5 stars are some stories are too short so finish abruptly (or have apoor story line).
If you want a good selection of short stories to readwhich dont require a encyclopaedic knowledge of the star wars timelinethen this is definitely worth a buy.
Great read for a SW fan
I originally bought this for my son as a bumper paperback comic (sorry 'graphic novel') for holiday, but picked it up myself over the period and read it cover to cover. The book is a collection of short stories by different authors and artists, based around the Star Wars universe. Some are serious, some are funny - I would have to agree with the other reviewers on the story 'A Death Star Is Born' based on an initial project meeting between Vader, The Emporer and Tarkin regarding the naming of the satellite, how big the exhaust port should be and how much would railings cost on the walkways, brilliantly written and well drawn. I have already ordered volumes 2,3 and 4.
A funny and exciting addition to the Star Wars Universe
Contains a good mix of serious and silly storylines. Includes a mix of new characters and shows old characters in a new light including 'A Death Star is born' which is a must read on its own.
