Truly encompassing story of air travel development
This is an amazing book about the development of transcontinental air travel which just happened to be by flying boat, the inestimable Short "C" Class or as it was known Empire Flying Boat. The details include names of the crews, launch dates, route surveys, initiations and the like including the use of 'boats in the war years. All however pulled together with great readability and enthusiasm. If you only read one book on Flying boats it should be this one. Illustrated throughout in B&W with comprehensive appendices. Highly recommended - buy it while you can it will surely be a collectors item in years to come!
