Average customer review:Product Description
Love is the most complicated and yet the simplest of emotions. Haiku poetry, with its clarity and poignancy, is able to wonderfully capture the different moods of this intensely human condition. Arranged in accordance with the natural unfolding of a relationship, these evocative poems contain at their essence a heartfelt moment of love. From the heady first flush of romance, to growing familiarity, and finally the ultimate serenity of deep and enduring devotion, each haiku encapsulates the spirit of true love.

enchanting love anecdotes
A mixture of haiku and senryu this is a charming book that captures the different stages of a relationship (honeymoon perios, bittersweet times and harmony).
Most of the verse here is contemporary, but they all manage to capture moments of love in that perfect way that only haiku can manage to do. When you read it, you'll smile knowingly at these moments that the writers capture (Spring rain: clinging to each other/ under one umbrella). The traditional Japanese paintings ofset the poems beautifully to make this either the perfect gift for a loved one or else a joy for any poetry lover.
A beautiful and poignant series of notes on love and loving
This beautiful collection of words reaches deep into the soul at those moments when we become open to such experience. Words whose simple beauty describe those moments in life which are, paradoxically, beyond words to describe, have been brought together in this collection that if nothing else remind us of the pause and of the space that we need to create for ourselves if we are to appreciate the miracle of being alive. This has been done without pretension or artifice but in a spirit of genuinely humble reverence for life by Manu Bazzano, to whom I am sincerely grateful.
