Our systems of home organization have a direct bearing on the efficiency or otherwise with which we perform everyday tasks and a successfully organized home allows you to put your hands on what you need and when you need it. "Storage" is an inspirational resource to help us organise every room in our home. Terence Conran demonstrates how getting organized is not a question of rigorous discipline but a means of simplifying and streamlining everyday life. This book is divided into two principal sections, one on planning and assessment, the essential starting point for reorganization including different types of storage available, and the other providing an area-by-area breakdown of every room's particular storage requirements and approaches, including the optimum conditions for storing different types of belongings.More than 270 inspiring photographs provide original solutions and case studies provide in-depth coverage of specific solutions from where to store all your CDs to how to hide all the children's' toys.

Customer Reviews
Comprehensively Great
It is good to know even the design gurus in the world suffer from clutter like us mere mortals. Another entertaining read from Terrence Conran with great ideas and strategies for keeping everything organised and in its place. Informative, all ways amusing and never condescending this book makes tidying up cool!
Lots of style, very little substance
This book might just be useful if you have:
- a big house
- enough money to commission bespoke fitted furniture from skilled craftsmen
- very little 'stuff', all of it chosen for visual effect
- a careful cleaner who dusts open shelves every day
and you find it helpful to be told (for example) that poisons should be kept under lock and key if there are children around, and that the first-aid box should be easily accessible.
For anyone who hasn't and doesn't it's a waste of money.
