About the Author
John Butler has written and illustrated numerous top selling books for children, all of which have featured the environment or animals in their natural habitats. His other books include Can You Cuddle Like a Koala?, Hush Little Ones and Pi-shu the Little Panda, and collaborated with author Sally Grindley on Polar Star, Little Tang and Little Elephant Thunderfoot which was shortlisted for the picture book categories of both the Sheffield Children's Book Award 1997 and The Federation of Children's Book Groups Awards 1997. John lives in Kent.

A Bedtime Treat
This simple but effective bedtime story has wonderful illustrations and vibrant colours showing what animals
around the world are doing while we are in darkness. Involving
counting from one to ten and spotting the detail in the pictures,
this is ideal material for very young children.
Great bedtime story for babies&toddlers
This book has beautiful illustrations of animals from around the world. I particulary like that the pictures are not cartoons that don't look anything like the animals that they represent, but are actual drawings. There is one sentence per page, meaning that young readers don't lose interest. It is such a lovely book for babies and toddlers to look at and enjoy.
A lovely bed time book
this is a lovely bed time book. my three year old still loves the pics and as its not a long story it allows every parent the time to sit down to encourage a childs intrest in books and the child to remain intrested throughout.
