About the Author
Stephen Mayson is Professor of Legal Practice and the Director of the Centre for Law Firm Management at Nottingham Law School where he is the 'architect' of the Law School's innovative and successful MBA in Legal Practice. He is a consultant to law firms, governments, corporate legal departments and professional associations around the world. Derek French works in legal publishing and is the author of Applications to Wind up Companies and an editor of Blackstone's Civil
Practice. He is editor of Blackstone's Statutes on Company Law and has also written on insolvency law, accountancy and management.
Christopher Ryan is currently Professor of Law and Head of Department of Law at City Universit, London specialising in company and criminal law and was formerly chief examiner for the regulation and compliance paper on the Securities industry examination for the International Stock Exchange. He is also co-author of Company Directors: Liablities, Rights and Duties.
