Customer Reviews

A treasure to cherish5
First of all this book is not a terrible one as some might dare to say. Of course, tt has some drawbacks:
1. The language is a bit heavy for average user.
2. There are many flashbacks, which may cause you to feel that you lost control of the story. (that's why you have to take notes)
3. There's no bibliographica note included (makes it less useful for academical purposes)
4. There's the chapter 3 ("ideas in conflict") which is somehow quite less related to the main topic.
But in spite of all these, the text is so brilliantly written and gives so strong insight that it still remains the best book I have read on the subject. Not a book for beginners. But for those who are really interested in the life of Napoleon, this is a treasure to cherish.
