Editorial Reviews
Review
"This well-thought-out textbook aims to support teaching assistants studying for a foundation degree. It develops the theoretical knowledge needed to enhance work in the classroom, encouraging students to reflect on their own practice. It's practical and easy to read... I would recommend this book to anyone doing the foundation degree." Gill Hanrahan, Teaching Assistant, Walgrave Primary School, Northants, in Learning Support, Summer Term 2, 2006
From the Publisher
"This is a text Foundation Degree students and their tutors will heartily welcome. There is the equivalent of well over 300 years of distilled wisdom in this enjoyable book. But what is especially impressive about this book is the manner in which the authors use that extensive combined expertise to take readers 'by the hand' and lead them through difficult topics, reflecting on the 'whys' and 'where fors' of children's learning, enabling them in their careers as Teaching Assistants."
