Customer Reviews

YOU HAD TO BE THERE5
I bought them as individual books after seeing a review of the '60's' in my local paper. Both books are delightful, full of nostalgia and things I had forgotten all about. It was like being wrapped in a nice warm blanket which smelt of every nice smell you ever remember. (And the knowing I had been born just in time for the best of times).

Well done Alison.

Fantastic5
For anyone that grew up in the U.K. in the late 50s and swinging 60s this book is an absolute must.
You will be able to recall the sounds, sights and smells of the snips that are featured in this book. We were cracked up with laughter as we remembered so many of the incidents relating to T.V. advertisements, washing powders, bubble gum, buses and everything that we all lived through during that period.
Alison has captured the features amazingly - makes you realize how great those times were. Loved it and would thoroughly recommend

Nostalgia5
I bought this as a Christmas gift. Having glanced through it I gave it with the proviso that I wanted to borrow it back. Excellent nostalgic material for baby boomers and an insight into life in the fifties and sixties for their children.
