Most books on relationships focus on the dynamics between the individuals. This one focuses on the love. Everything happening in an intimate sexual relationship can be seen as love trying to remain alive, even when there's conflict, betrayal and loss. When our perspective shifts away from the individuals and onto what is happening for the body of the love, then patterns, synchronicities and symmetries are revealed in a new light. This approach is radically different and explains the meaning of behaviour in the context of love, rather than judging what should be happening and suggesting ways to change things. Partnering is a set of techniques and processes that allow a couple to tap into the power, wisdom and nourishment of their love. As this book is all original material, there are literally no other books quite like it. So, despite the plethora of marriage guidance, partnership counselling titles and articles, this book is the accumulation of some 30 years of the author and partner journey into the deep waters and mysterious energies of relationships.

Customer Reviews
A revolutionary book
When I read How Loving Relationships Work, I realised that this was a whole new way of seeing and living in relationships. It's simple and straight forward and yet unlocks one of the deepest problems in human life- how do two people who love each other, live together. It brings in the force of love which is what it's all about anyway, and she presents it in such a way that although absolutely new and unique it's practical, funny, very real and also taps into the greater picture.
Anyone who knows the struggle of intimate relationships should read it.
Read this book now!
I was recommended to read Anne Geraghty's book by a good friend of mine. Having just finished it I now want to pass on this recomendation to everyone I know. This is a wonderful book, full of wisdom and insight, that manages to address an age old problem – how two people can live together happily – in an entirely new and dynamic way. By focusing on the body of love built up between two people in a relationship as something separate from, yet integral to, that relationship, this book gives practical and spiritual guidance for anyone struggling to find love and stay in love. It is a uniquely generous and important book; you really feel as you read that you are being touched by the lessons of the author's own profound life journey in a way that is wholly undogmatic or preachy. We need more books like this in the world.
