Walking Fit
I bought this book because a friend recommended it - I'm glad she did. This book shows you how to use different muscles while you walk, and these techniques really make you feel like you've exercised. There's a 6 week plan that seems to have gradually eased me in to a healthier way of living, including weekly exercise and nutrition tasks. If you want to get fit and lose weight but don't want to be tied to a gym, try this book. I walk to work now which makes me feel great because I'm getting fit and saving money at the same time! It's nice to see new stuff out there.
Bit disappointed
I was disappointed. There was a lot of "before you start" material and not enough of "this is what you do". But the thing that got me was a quote from a journal that people who walked at over 5mph were fitter than those who run at the same speed. Walking a mile in 12 minutes is REALLY fast yet this book was supposedly aimed at those of us who would struggle to get fit any other way.
