About the Author
Debi Gliori studied design and illustration at Edinburgh College of Art, and since then she has illustrated many children’s books and has written many of her own picture books. For Orchard these include Mr Bear Babysits, Mr Bear’s Picnic, Mr Bear to the Rescue (winner of the Children’s Book Award) and the Mr Bear board books which have been translated into nine languages and sold successfully over the world. Debi lives in East Lothian, Scotland.

A delightful story for any new big brothers/sisters
A beautifully written and illustrated book which my three year old loved. Mr Bear tries everything to get his new baby to sleep striking a chord with parents everwhere. Eventually it is the big sister who saves the day and helps the family enjoy a few hours sleep but how does she manage it? Parents and children alike will recognise many familiar elements of having a new baby in the house. We particulary identify with Mr Bear desparate to get some sleep! Look out in the illustrations for lots of familiar items lying around the house eg a book about sleep problems!

A lovely bedtime story book for the young.
Children will immediately identify with the bear family and the night antics resulting out of baby bear's sleeplessness. The wonderful illustrations introduce a host of woodlands friends who are on hand to offer advice and comforters. A humorous and an insightful tale.
