Priya has married a handsome young Indian man living in America. Lovely!
That really is how to describe this book, a motivating story written beautifully. Priya's story is not at all predictable as I presumed it would be when I started it, but instead is filled with twists and turns which are as extravagant as the Showbiz day job she has. You will really feel for her, and the book is narrated in smooth and flowing tones, capturing perfectly her relationships and her struggles. An extremely memorable read which will leave you rooting for a fab heroine.
Bollywood meets Hollywood!
Very witty book, with some social undercurents.
The main character coming from India and its Bollywood idea of romance to Los Angeles in an arranged marriage to a family that really just wanted someone to clean & cook for them as they are too lazy. The clash of cultures and trying to live them both and then the adventures that begin and the disasters that befall.
Another book to pack and sit and read on the beach/ plane!

I'm a huge fan of Kavita Daswani and the first one in the queue of waterstones when it comes to purchasing her books! Everything Happens For a Reason is an excellent read and I'd definately recommend this one to readers of all ages. Especially those who are newly weds and living with their in laws! Chapter by chapter, you'll find yourself making a connection with Priya (the main character) and feel you're part of the story. It's a book you'll not want to put down.....
