Synopsis
Tells the story of the SAS raid on Pebble Island during the Falklands War. In atrocious weather, 48 men of 22 SAS Regiment were landed by Sea King Helicopter on the Island. Their task was to destroy the 11 enemy aircraft located at the Airstrip on the Island and neutralize the Argentinean force posted there to guard it.

Excellent Read
Seemingly a well researched and definitely unique insight into perhaps one of the less well documented events of the Falklands Conflict. What comes across is the very high level of planning required to carry out an operation against a small but significant airfield on West Falkland prior to the landings at San Carlos.
The risk to UK Assets, namely HMS Hermes (one of only two Carriers)in sailing closer with only two escorts, and HMS Glamorgan in staying on the Gunline to support could do with greater emphasis, but this is an extremely good read and well illustrated.
Obviously rushed into publication for the 25th Anniversary, it could have been better proof read (spelling and grammar mistakes) but overall I recommend all its pages.
