Product Description

This unique telling of the story of Kurt Cobain’s years with Nirvana is made up of quotes and stories from the people who were there as the story was unfolding. Illustrated throughout with over 150 photographs, it’s as near as possible to a day-by-day log of every significant event from the band’s inception right through to Kurt Cobain’s tragic early death.

Spawned in the intensely fertile music scene that blossomed in and around Seattle in the late 1980s, Nirvana instantly distinguished itself by virtue of the singular passion that drove its leader, Kurt Cobain. The singer was imbued with incredible personal magnetism, as well as an uncommon gift for articulating the chaotic emotions of what has been called a lost generation, but his extreme distaste for the attention attracted by those talents proved overwhelming.

Nirvana’s influence is certain to be felt for many years to come, and this book looks for the reasons behind their seismic impact.

Great pictures, not much else4
If you want Nivana In Pictures, this book fits the bill perfectly. This is also useful if you went to see Nirvana but just can't remember the date you went to see the greatest gig of your life.
Let's be fair, this account this very detailed, but repetitive captions like "Kurt Cobain: Spokesman for a dischanted generation" (fans, you know what I mean) grate on you after a while. A bit more opinion from Borzillo-Vrenna and few more better captions would give this book a 5.

informative diary of nirvana years.5
this is a very informative book on kurt cobain and nirvana, its a day by day account of what went on and where,it has lots of great pictures of the band.it also tells the tragic ending when kurt decided it was better to burn out than fade away.a great book with great pictures, any nirvana fan should buy this.

a brilliant book to keep forever5
this book was large and hardback and the hundreds of pages inside were beautiful- all glossy with with lovely pictures on each page. the words within the book were great aswell they totally told the life of kurt cobain very well in every detail from the moment he was born to the day of his funeral. it really is quite sad at the end where it shows pictures of kurt cobain under a white sheet in a stretcher after his suiside- the book even has his suiside note in it. written by the people who knew kurt and the people who were there, this is a must-buy book- espeacially nirvana and kurt cobain fans.
