Editorial Reviews
Review
With its rich colour and widely varied landscape, Ireland is bordering on artistic overload. At first glance, the idea of reducing a whole country down to five paintings (you get the usual pre-printed tracings that come with this series) sounds like a definition of the absurd, but Terry has picked subjects that capture the essence of what Ireland has to offer: a mountain, a castle, a seascape, cliffs and a townscape detail. What you finish up with is as much a good primer in many of the subjects you might want to tackle in any situation as it is a practice run at a location where you might well be wondering where to start. Just remember to stock up on that Emerald Green, to be sure.-Artbookreview.net This latest no-nonsense guide to painting in watercolour provides six pull-out tracings, so that readers don't need to rely on their drawing skills. Beginners to watercolour will find that Terry's teaching style encourages them to have a go and try for themselves. Lovers of Ireland, whether they're Irish or have happy memories of holidays, will want to reproduce the five iconic Irish scenes in the step-by-step demonstrations. There are six tracings, one for each of the five demonstrations and one bonus tracing.-Machine Knitting Monthly
About the Author
Terry Harrison became interested in art early on, attending Art School at the age of sixteen. His studies led to a career in graphics, then he became an illustrator, developing his own painting style and perfecting his techniques during evenings and weekends. Demand grew for his paintings and he soon gave up his 'day job' to paint full time. Now he is kept constantly busy with a full schedule of exhibitions, private commissions, demonstrations and painting holidays. His fine art prints are sold in shops and galleries everywhere and he has recently opened a successful art gallery where he displays and sells his paintings. Terry is an energetic and prolific painter and his regular re-bookings for demonstrations reflect an enthusiastic response to his educational and entertaining style.

Another Great Ready To Paint Book
I really like these books. If you are not confident with your drawing you can use the tracings, however what I like is the step by step on how to produce the pictures eg what colours to use and what technique. I think these books help you to develop your painting and you can teach yourself if there are no classes near by to you.
Some nice pictures to copy and have a go at too.
Ireland in Watercolour
The transfers were wonderful and made painting so much faster and less stressful. Terry Harrison's step by step instructions were clear and uncomplicated.
from someone who can't draw
This type of book is excellent for beginers who want to get straight into painting rather than worry about drawing a good picture, that is done for you. You can either follow the artists sugestions and instruction, or paint in your own style. Excellent piece of kit.
