Fantastic4
This Keane book to accompany their album "Hopes and Fears" is a great way of enjoying the phenomenal songs by Keane. It sounds fantastic to play all the songs from such a brillaint band. The best one in the book is "Bedshaped", it's my favourite song by Keane and is represented very well in this book, it sounds great especially playing the introduction on piano. All the music in the book are pretty tricky so I only recommend this to people who can already play the piano/keyboard etc.

Also very helpful is the guitar chords put just above the stave (the lines on which the notes are put on) because it means that if your playing the piano or keyboard you can play just the piano part of you can play the main tune with your right hand and the guitar chords with your left so the songs is more recognizable. As the previous reviewed said there is no drumkit part but I'm not bothered by that and I'm sure drum players could improvise. This is definetely a 5 star product, the reason why I gave it 4 was because the delivery from Amazon went funny and I didnt receive the book until 3 weeks after I had ordered it (not up to Amazon's usual high standerds)

In conclusion this is a great book and it is note-perfect so I highly recommend it for all musicians and fans of the band.

Excellent5
this book has made my piano playing so much more enjoyable, when i got it i was grade 2 and found it really hard to get into but i kept working at it and i finaly was able to play 'somewhere only we know'. Its great to have friends round and get them singing along while u play, i love it

avoid 'bedshaped' at the start tho because altho it sounds really really nice its also really really hard

a definate buy for ANY piano player

Almost Spot On4
This is a very, very good (but not excellent) reference book. If you want to be able to play Keane's music, I highly recommend you buy this.

This, however, is not the complete score for the album. There are several instruments missing, most notably ALL the drums/percussion tracks and the incidental instruments such as the synth in Everybody's Changing.

Why would a band with solely a Pianist, a Singer and a Drummer issue a book with only a Piano listing and a Vocal listing? Why not include the drums?! And for that matter - why include guitar chord information that is not on the originals? (OK, I can answer that last one!)

What they have included here is excellent, and is note perfect - what they haven't included (the drum track) riles me somewhat given that it is the only other principal instrument being played.

The fact remains though, this is a high quality item. If you want to play Keane's work - I defy you to work it out without this!
