The Nail Technician's Bible!!!
This is a fantastic book that contains just about everything and anything you will ever need to know, whether as a trainee or a fully-qualified technician who needs a reference book to refer to from time to time.
It covers all aspects from nail anatomy and physiology, manicure, pedicure, artificial nails and nail art as well as career options: from getting your first job to working in a variety of fields such as becoming a demonstrator, trainer, assesor or even using your skills in competition or catwalk work.
The book is broken into chapters with introductions and summaries, key learning objectives as well as plenty of illustrations, tip boxes and knowledge review questions. There is in depth information on the work of a technician: tip application, sculpture, maintenance and removal - utilising gel, fibre and wrap systems and an excellent section on basic to advanced nail art designs, including air-brushing.
I have bought several books now on the subject and my only gripe is that I didn't buy this one first - it would have saved me some money! This one covers it all and is the one book I find most useful and, better still, interesting and incentivising!
Excellent Book
I am at present taking a Manicure & Pedicure course at college
and haveused this book countless times to help with assignments and information. The book is concise, helpful and has excellent diagrams and pictures
A MUST HAVE !!!
This is a must have book for anyone in the beauty industry. I am a student beauty therapist, and have found both the technical information and the images, to be invaluable as part of my NVQ studies.
