Average customer review:Product Description
This is a key textbook for specialist students of accounting and finance, either undergraduate or professional, taking a first course in auditing. In this third edition, the authors continue to provide a refreshing, imaginative and thorough introduction to the audit process, with a rational and coherent foundation for the appreciation of auditing practice. This Revised ISA edition is entirely up to date with changes post-Enron, with new international auditing standards and IFRS replacing UK accounting standards for the first time. With the aid of numerous examples, case studies and questions, "The Audit Process: Principles, Practice and Cases" provides a realistic and thought-provoking insight into the individual components of the auditing process in the context of the entire audit. A major strength of the book is its questioning approach, designed to encourage the student to interact with the material.

Customer Reviews
A solid and practical introduction to auditing
I recently used this book on a professional course and was very impressed by the depth of content and, in particular, found the self-assessment questions invaluable for my course.
I examined all of the textbook options before starting my course and selected this one becuase it seemed the most detailed and user-friendly and it didn't let me down.
Informative but lacking detail!
I found this text book to be, as the title suggests, informative but lacking in detail in certain areas. Although it provides a good level of information, I feel that if you were to buy it to use alone, as your only point of information, you would lack areas of knowledge. This is probably a good book to use when first beginning to study the subject as it is easy to follow, and provides good explanations on the subjects that it does cover.
