Average customer review:Product Description
The Fairmile Type D was designed to combat the known advantages of German S-boats (Schnellboote - but always called 'E-boats' by the Allies) over previous British coastal craft designs. This book is a comprehensive body of information on this important type.

Fairmile Heaven
I was looking for some reference material on PT boats and MTB's for some model boats that I am making, when I found this series of books.
This book provides an excellent coverage of the Fairmile D MTB.
There is enough detail within this book to sratch build a complete model with drawings of hull lines, drawings and photos all within the text.
The books cover opens out to provide a 1/75th scale plan of the MTB.
You will need to convert a few scales though between some of the drawings, but the detail in drawings is excellent. The author is a skilled draughtsman and brings out detail in his work.
Recommend this book to any other modeller looking for material on the Fairmile MTB or an MTB/Naval enthusiast.
