From the Author
When my husband and I started our own cafe three years ago the up hill climb we had to make seemed enormous! However, through hard work and determination we have made our business an award winning success.
I greatly enjoyed writing this book, and hope through my personal experience and advice, to help you achieve your own cafe goals!
About the Author
At the age of 28 Jill Sutherland, and her husband of 30 Richard Willis, decided to swap their careers in Public Relations and Advertising for the challenge of starting their own sandwich, salad and smoothie bar. Now, three years later, Taste (UK) Ltd is a firmly established and multi award winning Essex based business; proof that despite the influx of big name chains onto the high street, there is still room for enterprising independent sandwich and coffee bars within this exciting sector. Excellent investment
This book is an excellent investment for anyone thinking of opening their own cafe/coffee shop. It covers all of the issues that I've been worrying about for the past 6 months, business plans, premises, suppliers, menus, staffing issues, compliance with rules and regulations etc. It's also a really fun read, with lots of anecdotes from the author's own experiences of running her cafe.
An Essential Read
I'd read the Stephen Miller book a year or so ago and found it useful. However, this book is far more up to date and is relevant to today's tricky economic climate. A very informative & essential read for anyone who is thinking about opening up & currently running a coffee/sandwich shop.
Very Comprehensive Guide
We are just starting a coffee shop. This Guide is excellent, very informative. It is published just at the right time for us.
