Average customer review:Product Description
The lily is one of the most beautiful and popular flowers in the garden and despite having a reputation for being "temperamental", lilies can actually be very easy to grow. This concise, illustrated handbook contains detailed information on the care of a variety of lilies. It is an invaluable reference tool for both amateur gardeners and experienced growers. The straightforward approach to essential techniques, together with advice on tackling pests and other problems and the directory of recommended species will ensure successful results.

Customer Reviews
Beautiful photographs, chatty text
This seems not to be a scholarly work nor as dry as many reference texts, as I think it has been written with the engaged amateur, like myself, and probably you, in mind. However the ease of read disguises the genuine knowledge of history and breeding paths contained in the text, so a masterful balance has been achieved here and one is less aware of the factual base that so often clogs up reference works and makes reading them such a chore.
It contains many lovely photographs and gives one a list of probable targets for the garden with plants in situ rather than taken off the plant and laid out on a page with many of the antecedent and derivative flowers. An excellent book and a keeper.
