Perfect Nursery Rhyme CD (BBC Audio CD)
(NOTE: There appears to be some confusion between the BBC Audio CD and another one also called Sing a Song of Sixpence. This review relates only to the one that says BBC Audio on the cover.) This is the perfect nursery rhyme CD. It has a range of traditional nursery rhymes and the music quality (vocals, instruments, production) is superb. Great for children but due to the high quality of the music it is also pleasant for adults to listen to. I suspect that the negative reviews on this are meant to be for the other Sing a Song of Sixpence CD, which is different from the BBC Audio one.
Disappointing and annoying
I bought this CD as it seemed to be from the same collection as the "Wheels on the bus" Cd from BBC Audio which I was very happy with. Unfortunately I was very disappointed with this one. The tone of the music and sound of the singers voices were quite annoying. It did not catch the interest of my kids like the "Wheels on the bus" and the "This little Piggy" CDs from the same collection....and I could not tolerate the CD playing till the end as I found it quite annoying. Disappointing as my kids really enjoyed the other CD's especially the Wheels on the Bus.
Nice music, terrible presentation
I bought this CD to use in the English (as a second language) lessons. It is described as an audio book, the shipping fee (abroad) is more expensive than the CD itself, and it's just a plain CD. No booklet with the lyrics, and not even a proper list of tracks with the titles of the songs. Useless in class without long web researches. I was very disappointed. However the quality of the music is good.
