Synopsis
This title details Richard's battles with his demons: the women, the drugs and the love/hate relationship with Mick Jagger, as well as his struggle with heroin and his status as the rock star most likely to die in the 1970s. It traces Richard's life from his poverty-stricken roots in post-war England to his ultimate triumph on the Stones' world tours and beyond.

Fascinating offender
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and learnt a lot about Keef that I had never heard about before. He is a much more complex man than the popular media would have us believe and Victor Bockris gets this across without getting bogged down in the usual run of the mill mythology.
If you are interested in the heart of the Stones look no further. Buy this now!
A True Rock 'n' Roll Star
This is the best book you will ever read on Kieth Richards because the author goes into great depth tryin to put his past into one big piece, he recalls the early days when the stones were formin, through to Jones death, his fights with jagger and his out of control drug habit. When you finish the book you will be amazed the geezer aint dead, then you simply want to read more about him. Kieth Richards is Rock 'N' Roll.............he passed in on!!!!
The Great Survivor!!!
Keith Richards - what a man and he's still here (which must amaze him on occasion given the amount of drink and drugs he's shifted)!!!
This book is a true labour of love and the author leaves no stone unturned (sorry, couldn't resist the pun!) in painting a picture of Mr Richards, warts and all. What came across to me is a man who knows exactly who he is, the good and the bad, and who inspires a lasting affection and respect in people. I loved the book, it really brought the man to life and has obviously been extremely well researched. Keith Richards is a true original, a real life force, and this comes across with every page - he takes no prisoners but, if he is on your side, he is someone you can really count on.
One of the best rock biographies I have ever read.
