This concise and completely up-to-date study guide bridges the gap between a physics textbook and a self-test format exam aid. It comprehensively covers all the areas examined in the FRCR part 1, and by focusing on understanding the key concepts, rather than simply being able to answer questions correctly, this guide adopts a comprehensive, wide-ranging approach. It includes the latest updated radiation safety legislation (IR(ME)(A)R), and all information has been checked by a medical physicist as well as radiologists. The unique format features self-test MCQs with correct answers and associated key concepts. Test yourself over an entire topic, then check your answers at the back of the book. If you were not successful, you will not only be able to find the correct answers, you will understand where you have gone wrong. This book is highly recommended for candidates for the Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR) part 1 examination.

Review
'An excellent book for use alongside a reference text in preparation for the exam. Of the current books available this one incorporates the broadest range of topics, and the explanations and "Key Concepts" are excellent. In my opinion, this is one of the best MCQ books available.' No surprises
This book has a good selection of questions. The questions are set at a realistic level of difficulty which definitely prepares you well for the exam. This, combined with Khanna or Tolan or both ideally will give you plenty of practice and confidence for the FRCR1.
all new book from scratch and it's great.
The title says it all really. I bought this and used it for the Dec. 07 sitting of the FRCR part 1 just after the book came out. Not only is it the most up to date MCQ book (and therefore has ALL the new regulations in it) but it also has explainations of the answers and key concepts on top of the MCQs. This ought to be top of your list for choosing a Part 1 MCQ book, and combined with the Tolan et al. one is all you should need for MCQs.
