Product Description

The Diploma of Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (DRCOG) examination recognises a doctor's interest in women's health. Recent changes to the exam now require that candidates answer extended matching questions, single best answers and multiple choice questions. This comprehensive revision guide provides three full papers covering the entire DRCOG syllabus. Each paper is specifically designed for practice under exam conditions. To aid general revision, a detailed subject index enables a more focused approach to individual topics, and the explanatory answers have been fully referenced to assist further study where necessary.

Editorial Reviews

Review
'Following on from the success of our first book nMRCGP Applied Knowledge Test Study Guide - Sample Questions and Explanatory Answers, and as the format of the DRCOG had changed, we felt that we were in a great position to produce another excellent study guide. The DRCOG is an examination that recognises a doctor's interest in women's health, rather than being a specialist qualification. It tests knowledge of both community and hospital based medicine. Holding the Diploma has enabled us to improve our clinical knowledge and made us more capable of providing a high standard of care in women's health. Our study guide will help focus your revision on relevant subjects, particularly important as the exam has a significant failure rate. We are sure that this book will prove an invaluable aide for exam preparation.' --Aalia Khan, Ramsey Jabbour and Almas Rehman summarised from the Preface

Customer Reviews

best of the bunch4
have been using this book as part of my drcog revision for almost a month now and I have to say its the best i've come across. the questions are set out in the same style you will be presented with in the examination, and each answer explanation is thorough enough without getting bogged down in unneccessary detail. the vast majority of the syllabus is also covered. loses one star due to the price - would recommend finding a few colleagues also sitting the exam and each buy a different book, swapping after a few weeks.

Generally Ok, but quite a few errors2
The book is generally well written and easy to use, but there are several typing mistakes in the answers. The explanation often contradicts the answer actually given, especially in the MCQ (true false) questions. This has made me lose confidence in the book and means I am having to spend longer checking the answers in other books/online.
