All Tom's friends really are superheroes. Tom even married a superhero, the Perfectionist. But at their wedding the Perfectionist is hypnotized by her ex, Hypno, to believe that Tom is invisible. Nothing he does can make her see him. Six months later, the Perfectionist is sure that Tom has abandoned her, so she's moving to Vancouver. She'll use her superpowers to leave all the heartbreak behind. With no idea that Tom's beside her, she boards the plane. Tom has, until they touch down, to convince her he's there, or he loses her forever...This book is a wonderful, heartbreakingly funny tribute to love, sweet love.

Editorial Reviews
Review
'The first book in my rundown of the pick of 2009 is a mere 108 pages long. It is also one of the most romantic books you will ever read. I was utterly charmed by the book.' Scott Pack's Books of the Year 2009. Original on-line review by Scott Pack: 'How has this one passed us by? A work of adorable genius. Buy it, borrow it, steal it but just make sure you read it. I am willing to bet it will be your surprise read of the year. I read it on the train home the day I received it and spent the whole evening smiling. '(****) Scott Pack --meandmybigmouth.typepad.com
'This is an adorable book: neat, sweet, petite. Your loved one will love you even more for buying it for them. Toby Litt 'Somebody should write Mr Kaufman and thank him for his tender heart ... I expect this story will replace boxes of chocolates and flowers in courting rituals to come.' Sheila Heti 'An addictive, brisk, wonderfully inventive and funny piece of work.' Dogmatika '... may technically be called a love story, but if it is, it is one that is blissfully cliche free. More please.' Pulp.net 'Simply brilliant. A real gem of a book ... this ode to love was built to last.' Ham & High 'A deliciously barbed commentary on our ongoing epidemic of physical and emotional multi-tasking and all its neurotic spinoffs.' The Globe and Mail --Assorted Sources

Beautiful
I finished this book in one sitting in under an hour and plan to read it many more times.
The book is funny, clever, and even though it's quite surreal you can appreciate every character in it (and probably know someone not unlike them).
This is a heartwarming read without being too soft, probably the best book I've read in the last 6 months, and short enough to read from start to finish when you're just not feeling too great.
Sweetest book I've ever read. Buy it now. Read it. Share it.
This book is my favourite book.
It takes about an hour to read (I've read it about 12 times) and you will always want to come back to it.
It's very clever, very sweet and completely unpretentious.
If you have a loved one, either read it to them, or let them read it up until the last three chapters, then read the end to them. It's something that should be shared and treasured.
Enjoy, I have no doubt at all that you will.
A Charming Book
When I finished this book for the second time recently I had no idea how to review it except to say that I was totally carried along by this lovely work of fiction. Although quite short, I loved it from start to finish and just felt I had to pass on my good feelings to future readers. The book is an unsentimental view of relationships from a completely original view point.
