Customer Reviews
Not worth the buy unless you're her student... and even then....
Don't let her methods of persuasion get to you...you don't REALLY need to buy it. Take it out from the library or borrow from a friend who's bought it and can't return it. It's poorly written- for a woman of her learnedness you'd expect something more than colloquialisms, cliches and unnecessary quips (which may be attractive to a juvenile audience but hardly satisfactory for students of law and politics). Penny Darbyshire is an incredibly intelligent and well versed authority on the subject of the English Legal System and EU law, unfortunately this does not come across well amidst the over-abundance of titles, bold print and short and too concise explanations. As a supplementary text it's satisfactory- as a primary text- just attend lectures she quotes her book well enough...
