Customer Reviews
The most imformative I have seen so far.
Richard Jones has planned our trip out, step by step. I live in London, and I have been on guided waliking tours, but Mr. Jones has provided us with the details and maps so that we may all explore on our on and take our time. I am extremely excited about receiving his most recent book, "Haunted Britain & Ireland". The only problem I have with the book is deciding wich one I should go on first.
A fascinating book, you will go on a walk after reading it!
This book contains 25 haunted walks in and around London, its very detailed and guides you through the walk every step of the way so you don't miss a turning or spooky alleyway, there is a brief history of the places you walk by and through and for those of you that don't really like walking there's lots of haunted pubs to break up your journey. A very interesting and enjoyable book which made me go out in the snow looking for ghosts!
Informative, but......
I really did enjoy this book and I've roped my boyfriend and Aunt into coming with me round the Tower of London on the walk in late November/Early December....you know when it's dark, eerie and the majority of the tourists have pushed off.
It's a very good book, informative and fun and definately the premier in its category. Unsurprisingly it's brief in its details, a bit out of date and some of the sentences don't make sense i.e. "her he queen" BUT this shouldn't and doesn't detract from the book in any way, shape or form.
Happy Hauntings!
