A whole chapter is devoted to the August 1999 total solareclipse visible from Cornwall. The next such eclipse will not be visible from British soil until 2090. The last such mainland eclipse was in 1927.

The best book on future solar eclipses5
If you saw the 1999 total solar eclipse, you will be determined to see another. Unfortunately Britain will not get another until 2090, and this book gives details of this event, together with Britain's next annular eclipse in 2003. However the next total solar eclipse occurs on 21 June 2001 and a whole chapter is devoted to this and another chapter to the 2002 total solar eclipses. There is also a complete chapter on Britain's next annular eclipse in 2003.
