Clare Phillips is a curator in the Sculpture, Metalwork, Ceramics & Glass Department at the V&A. Her publications include Jewelry: From Antiquity to the Present (1996) and contributions to Art Nouveau 1890-1914 (V&A 2002) and Silver (V&A 2003).

Beautiful photographs and highly informative
This book illustrates the Victoria & Albert Museum's extraordinary jewellery collection. The photography is stunning - superbly lit and reproduced in very high quality - and the text is clear, approachable for the non-expert but highly informative. I read it from beginning to end but it's the sort of book that you could really enjoy just dipping into. Delightful
